Just Call Me Miss Whiplash!

This entry is filed under Editorial.

dsc02325First of all a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who emailed me with get well wishes.

Sorry it’s been so long since I last posted a recipe, but my neck problem caused by a nasty whiplash injury some years ago turned out to be worse than expected.

So I’ve spent the summer fending off THE BIG OP by having lots of rest and keeping my fingers crossed the nerve blocking cortisone injections will kick in and do the trick instead.  They seem to be working so I’ll resume blogging as soon as the physio gives me the thumbs up.

It would have been a lot more fun if we’d had the “BBQ Summer” the Met Office promised us but summer’s been a bit of a wash out here in the Cotswolds.

Still I mustn’t complain. It hasn’t been all doom and gloom. I’ve joined Cotswold Essence Magazine as their resident cookery writer and my new recipe column starts this month. www.cotswoldessence.co.uk

I also did an interview with Psychologies Magazine on binge eating which is in their September issue and out on the shelves now. www.psychologies.co.uk

The article’s about getting bad eating habits under control which is quite ironic as I’ve been doing plenty of comfort eating over the summer months while waiting for my neck to get better.

Now about that cup of tea and almond cake…
