Little sweet 'n' savoury bombs

Sweet 'n' Savoury

Makes: 20 canapes
Preparation & Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Effort Level: Easy
Shelf Life: Eat immediately

2 bananas
10 rasheres streaky bacon
smoked paprika (la chinata is good)
cocktail sticks

Here’s What You Do:
Soak the cocktail sticks in water, to stop them from burning when under the grill.

Remove any rind from the bacon and stretch each rasher with the back of a knife before cutting in half.

Cut the bananas into bite size chunks and roll in smoked paprika.

Wrap a piece of bacon around each banana chunk and skewer with a cocktail stick to secure.

Heat the grill to the highest setting.

Arrange the banana/bacon sticks seam side down on the grill pan and grill for 2 minutes each side, or until the bacon is crispy.

In place of banana try using chunks of mango or pineapple.
Scallops work brilliantly. Replace the paprika with salt, pepper and lemon juice before wrapping in bacon.
