There’s something about homemade lemonade that reminds me of my childhood and reading Enid Blyton books! I hope you try it because homemade lemonade is far nicer than the commercial stuff and deliciously refreshing on a hot summers day.
Ingredients:
1 unwaxed lemon
6 large lemons
250g caster sugar
250ml water
750ml soda water
Here’s What You Do:
Peel the zest from the unwaxed lemon making sure you remove all the pith (otherwise it’ll taste bitter) and place in a heavy based saucepan.
Now add 250mg sugar and 250ml water and bring to the boil for 4-5 minutes.
You should now have a clear syrup. Leave it to cool, then add the juice of 6 lemons along with 750ml soda water.
Stir well then pour into long tall glasses over chunks of ice and serve .
Delish!
