Homemade Beef Burgers

This entry is filed under Meat Recipes.

who doesn't love a burger?

When only a burger will do...

Serves: 2
Preparation & Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Effort Level: Dead easy
Shelf Life: eat immediately. Or freeze raw mixture for up to 3 months

300g top quality ground beef
1 egg yolk
½ tsp salt
Worcester sauce
2  spring onions
2 tbsp sunflower or vegetable oil
Plain flour for dusting

Mixing bowl
Frying pan
Fish slice

N.B: I prefer buying frying or minute steaks  and chopping the meat by blitzing it in the food processor. If that sounds like too much effort, be sure to buy top quality minced beef from your butcher.

Here’s What You Do:
Finely slice the spring onion and mix with the beef with the other ingredients until combined.

Sprinkle your work top with a dusting of flour and shape the meat into two patties approx 2cm thick.

Pour approx 2 tbsp oil into the frying pan and place over a medium heat.

Fry the hamburgers for 3 minutes each side. Turn off the heat and flip them over once more – (back onto the first side) and leave them to rest in the pan for 5 minutes.

Serve with triple cooked chips.
