I participated in a class aimed at improving students cooking ability and found the experience interesting and very informative. The food I’m cooking now at university is a world away with regards to taste than from before the class, and its healthier and cheaper too!

  2. Helen says:

The salmon en croute was gorgeous 🙂 and the sauce is just incredible – the comment from one our friends on Sunday morning was that “it was like eating in a restaurant”.

We also served your lemon sponge pudding later – wow! The contented umms and sighs were a joy to hear – I think we may have found a favourite here too! !

For me, the big thing is confidence – and that is what the book and Saturday’s lesson gave me in spades. Although I enjoy learning from books, there is nothing quite like seeing someone actually do something at first hand. The taste, taste taste message is one I need to adopt and am really looking forward to building an ability to modify a taste, texture as I go – which is i guess the real skill.

Thank you again for a great 3 hours on Saturday (how fast did that go?) and your cook book – just brilliant.

I came on the canape course just before Christmas – it was a triumph! I just produced a few things with drinks and now everyone thinks I am Delia (sorry Uma!) There wasnt anything I didn’t like and the prawn and crab ones were divine. I dont do supper any more – just canapes ……………………
Everthing was so easy to make and unbelievably delicious – thank you Uma

  5. Judy says:

Last weeks soup class was excellent. I came with a group of friends and learnt so much. So impressed infact that I haven’t stop making soups since. I had no idea they were possible to make in such a short space of time. It was nothing short of amazing. Highly recommend.
